Hi all!

I'm just back from Nottingham, since I took my flatmate to his first Christmas market - I can't believe he's never been to one! The Notts one isn't that big, but at least it was a distraction for him, since I'm sure you remember what happened almost a year ago, with his brother's death.

Anyway, it's also that time of year again, so if anyone would like a Yuletide card this year, would you PM me your postal address?

Thanks!

Well, we move in six days, and the only 'problem' is I'll be off-line for about a week after the move, since BT can't get an engineer out to put in a phone line until the friday after we move - but that's fine, since the main thing is we're getting away from you-know-who! As far as I'm concerned, it'll give me time to finish the beta-work I've got queued up.

I'm hoping my flatmate starts eating properly after the move, since the stress caused by one individual is really getting him down - he's now on his second course of anti-depressants, since I sent him to his GP after he started picking fights again. On the plus side, we took a third car-load of boxes up to the new place today, and he wasn't in tears on the way back to Skeg - I think that's because we will be leaving soon, so he knows the torment will be over.

We also met a few of the neighbours today, and told them to come over for a cuppa once we're settled, and I'll make cakes - pumpkin, orange and lemon, or apple, I haven't decided yet. What do you guys think? And if I go for apple, should i be pie or crumble?

Yay!

We signed for the new property and moved some boxes over yesterday!

We're getting away from the evil little b***h! It's only about 7 or 8 miles away, but still - she won't be able to cause any more trouble for us! Only 1 more week here!

Things are starting to look better now - the bungalow was far too small, so we had to turn it down, but we viewed a ground floor flat today with a slightly smaller living room and bathroom than where we are now, but larger bedrooms and kitchen. We accepted it, and should sign the tenancy agreement within the next week. We're getting away from the nut-job!!!

Another plus is I had a job interview today - hopefully, I'll be called in again, and maybe even get the job.

Well, it's 7am, and in 2 hours we're going out to look around the new bungalow we'll be moving to, and picking up the keys. This, of course, means we'll be getting away from that b***h across the road - squee!!!!!

We've been careful to make sure the little tart doesn't realise we're going until the removal van is here. I'm not sure if we've pulled it off, but we haven't heard anything from her for a couple of days, so we'll just have to see.

Now all I have to do is find a job there...

Okay - I know I've been away for a while, but I have an update on the pest across the road.

It seems we're not the only ones wanting to get away from her - the people living in two flats adjoining hers (one above, one on the side) have left, and one was because she was claiming the woman's husband was having an affair with Poulet's (the girl's) aunt, and poulet would have her friends fire-bomb the woman's flat and car if it didn't stop! Can you believe this tart?

I heard last week she got here friends to beat up one young man twice (!!!) last week, and one of the neighbours told me today she was claiming to be a social worker and had to check on where young boys were! My theory is she's looking for more people to torment.

Still, the good news is we'll be out of here soon - the housing association just need to finish putting in a brand new kitchen and clean up before they can give us the keys to a bungalow with two gardens, and we can go! They've told us we'll be moving during the first week of October, and we've already got almost everything packed away (I'm living out of my suitcase at the moment)!

Oh. My. God.
You know that little b***h I was telling you about a while ago? Well, she behaved for a little while, but now we've had to go to the Police - again - since we caught her actually trying to look through our windows - and yes, I do mean the ones with several layers of net curtains! The cops are now going to threaten her with what they call a harrassment order, which means she can be arrested if she breaks it, but I'm not holding out much hope - both the cops and the housing association have spoken to her several times, and nothing seems to have any affect on her. Personally, I'd love to root out m steel-toecapped boots and kick her into the next millennium, but I'd probably get into trouble for that! Do any of you guys have any ideas?

My new mic finally arrived from Hong Kong this afternoon - just after I bought a cheap one this morning! Never mind - I gave the store-one to my flat-mate, to go with the laptop I bought him yesterday. He actually wanted to pay £15 a month to the store to get the laptop, but I worked out he'd be paying just under £500 for a computer with a value of just under £300, so I told him to wait until I could buy it, and he could pay me back about £10-£15 a month, and save quite a bit of cash. What are friends for, right?

I did it! It took some time, since I had to walk, but I completed the 5k course!

I wasn't quite crawling across the finish line, but I would have done to get there!

To those of you kind enough to sponsor me for the event, thank you so much - your money will help eventually eliminate this illness.

Okay, guys, you remember I said I was having problems with my leg? Well, it turns out I have a trapped nerve in my back, which caused the problem. I had my second physio session this morning, and I'm moving a lot easier now. I'll still need a cane for the Race on Sunday, but I'll complete the 5k, even if I have to crawl across the finish line!

As my friends know, I'm doing the Race for Life this year, and I also give a lot of my time to the Royal British Legion, RAFA, and International Rescue Corps. The Legion and RAFA are because I'm ex-RAF, and the rescue team because it has aims I believe in.

Hi all!

The good news is my sponsorship total has increased -

The bad news is I've fouled up my leg somehow - my GP told me it was just a pulled muscle, but I'm switching GP's now, because the pain was so bad last week, I wound up in the local A&E. They want me back in for a scan on 27 April, since they think it could be a DVT.

But fear not! I may be on sick pay since I can't work (seriously - I can't walk without a cane right now, so what chance do I have RUNNING after thieving toe-rags in my store?), but I WILL complete the 5k in June, even if I have to crawl past the finish line! So, if anyone else wants to sponsor me, please do (hint, hint)!

I'd like to see cancer eliminated - it's a horrible illness, and I'm sure most people at least know someone who's been affected by it.

I snagged this from my dear friend Kathy, aka [info]zenamydog - and how spooky is it that we're the same 'animal'?
Your Animal is the Crane
Deep down, you are a very secretive person. You keep a lot to yourself.
You may seem friendly and outgoing, but it's not the full picture. You prefer your own quiet company.

You are a smart and talented person. You have an amazing set of skills.
You are also quite reflective and thoughtful. You have a unique spirituality that is always growing.

Now, of course, I want to know what everyone else is!

Oh. My. God. You know that friend I was telling you about - the one with the nuisance neghbour? Well, I got back from a night working at a nightclub to find this girl has been tellng everyone she knows lies about him, and he actually had 2 people threatening to kill him, and calling him a paedo! I'd really love to now when this was supposed to have happened, because I've been staying at his flat since a few days after his brother died!

I also can't understand how anyone can believe her, since she's a known fantasist, to put it politely - the local Police know of at least 30 other men (most much older than my friend) she's done this to! She also came around while I was at work, trying to get my friend's number again - I just really hope she tries the landline number! We've since discovered this little b***h is only 14, but I really want to kick her up the backside while wearing my (steel toecapped) work boots, but then I'D be in trouble! Grrr!

I've now used my own RBL membership to get my friend into the Legion, which will give him a safe place to go while I'm at work, since he's now afraid to be in his own home. I've also told my boss at the club I won't be able to work there at the weekend until this situation is resolved - so this girl will now be costing me £150 every week, since my night-job pays £10/hour.

Anway, mini-rant over...

On a much better note, I can cofirm I've broken the £100 barrier with my RFL sponsorship, and have raised my target to £150 - for those of you who've PM'd me, saying you'd like to sponsor me, but money's tight at the moment, don't worry! My Race isn't until Jue 30 and the link to my fund-raising page will be working until then.

I've hit a snag with my training - I pulled a muscle during my last session in the gym, and I've been told not to do any more for at least two weeks, to give it a chance to heal.

On the plus side, another person I work with has decided to sponsor me, so that'll be some more cash for the charity. He's actually doing a marathon for cancer research in June, so I've asked a few friends to sponsor him, too - it all helps, after all, doesn't it?

I wanted to post this yesterday, but I couldn't get the LJ page for some reason. Anyway...

All hail [info]atsugari8 for sponsoring me £5 for the RFL!

Also, all hail [info]greenblue26, who currently has the honour of sponsoring me the most for doing the Race - she's giving £10!

All hail to both these wonderful ladies, as well as everyone else doing the RFL, and sponsoring others!
